Warning: Acai Free Trial Scam!
By · CommentsSeeing that there are many questions about this, I decided to put it in my post. Most Acai Berry Products on the market nowadays come with a free trial. Some have been tempted to try them, but beware, that free trials can actually cost you more money than buying a product online. Let me tell you 3 reasons why:
- Acai Berry Free Trial is not FREE!
The actual prize of the product is actually very expensive. A good customer should and would always check the privacy policy before buying. In here (albeit sometimes in obscure little writings) you should find the real price of the product. It's no surprise that most free trial products actually cost over $80, which is about 3-4 times more expensive than buying a good product online. Not only that, if you look at the packaging, the ingredients are actually half than your common products, so it's a double loss.
- It come more than just a product. They'll haunt you for life.
Because you're automatically subscribed to [insert something here]. They will bug you over and over and over again about the latest offer. Not only that, you will spend hours trying to cancel this subscription. A process that can be really stressful.
- Canceling is easy? Think again.
Some of you may think, hey, I can just cancel my free trial. Well, it's not that easy. First of all, usually it's hard to find their contact number on the website. Second, if you do find the number, it's either: a. always busy, b. no answers, c. you got through but you're shuffled around so many times you lost count. They will make cancelling it possible, but painstakingly. You can easily spend the better part of your days just dealing with this. And usually, in most cases, the cancellation means you're billed for the first month (with a discount ranging from 20-25%) which we already know is expensive.
With that to say, I don't condemn all free trial products. There are some (not much) that actually are good. Compare: Acai vs. Maqui
By · CommentsIt may seem odd to start this list of superfoods with one you’ve likely never even heard of. But studies have shown that this little berry is one of the most nutritious and powerful foods in the world! – www.oprah.com
Of course Oprah doesn’t know what she unleashed by saying those words. After that episode of Oprah, came… the storm! The storm of Acai Berry Products and Scams, and the race to be the King of ORAC. I’m sure that you’ve atleast heard about Acai berry, although maybe not all of you are informed about Maqui berry. But that’s about to change.
A bit information before we go to the comparisons. Antioxidants value are a major player in the age-defying battle, accodring to the free-radical theory of aging. Not only that, it’s supposedly give you an edge on tofight age, disease, obesity, etc.
Okay. Now we can continue. Let’s compare the Fat Burners! Acai vs. Maqui.
| Subject | Acai Berry | Maqui Bery |
| Origin | Amazon, Brazil | Patagonia, Chile |
| ORAC value/gram | 1027 (Freeze Dried) | 2500 (Powder Form) |
| Contains Anthocyanins | Yes | Yes |
| Contains Polyphenols | Yes | Yes |
| Contains Amino Acids | Yes | Yes |
| Contains Vitamins | Yes | Yes |
| Contains Omega 3 | Yes | No |
| Free Trial Available? | Yes | No |
Well, it’s easy to see it with stats, isn’t it? Frankly speaking, Acai lose in the ORAC battle but it have more nutritional value because of the multitude of vitamins in it. Maqui on the other hand is just a pure dose of antioxidants. So both have plusses. On the side note, most Acai products come with a 15-day free trial, but Maqui doesn’t. The bottom line is it’s a matter of convenience and price.
